Twin Brooks History
The name Twin Brooks comes from the fact that the neighbourhood is located at the confluence of Whitemud Creek Ravine and Blackmud Creek Ravine. Twin Brooks sits on land annexed to the city of Edmonton in 1980. Residential construction began during the late 1980s and continued through to the 1990s. However, the majority of the construction occurred in the 1990s.
Single-family homes are the most common type of residence by over 80%. These mostly feature attached garages, two-storey designs and split-level designs. Other housing types include condominiums and duplexes.
