Richford History
Richford is named after Richford Road, now known as 5th Avenue SW as it was given an official street number in 1982. The name was intended to advertise the area's rich and fertile land. By 2006, Richford was still under construction and contained about 170 units.
The neighbourhood was developed under the Heritage Valley Servicing Concept Design Brief (SCDB).
It is bounded on the north and east by Blackmud Ravine, south by Ellerslie Road and west by 111 Street.
