Leger is named after Edmund Hugh Leger, a politician who was elected to the city council in 1959 and served as an alderman for 25 years. Leger is located within the Terwillegar Heights Servicing Concept Design Brief (SCDB) plan. The neighbourhood is bounded on the north by Carter Crest neighbourhood, east by Rabbit Hill Road, south by 23 Avenue and west by Terwillegar Drive. 

Leger Recreational Activities

Leger is located in a location where residents can easily access numerous recreational amenities without driving far. Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre is located within Leger and is one of the biggest recreational centres in Edmonton and great pride for the Leger community.
