Heritage Valley History
Most of the Heritage Valley neighbourhoods are named after prominent Edmontonians who played key roles in the development of Edmonton City. The area was established in 2001 through the adoption of the Heritage Valley Servicing Concept Design Brief, which was used to guide the development of Heritage Valley.

Heritage Valley Recreational & Outdoor Activities
Heritage Valley offers lots of fun and entertainment to residents as it features plenty of park space, nature trails, green spaces, sports and fitness facilities.
The area was designed to take advantage of the nearby Blackmud Creek Ravine, which borders to the east. The ravine features hiking trails by the water, lots of green space and wildlife. Interesting spots worth checking out include Gateway Fitness Park, Tony Cashman Park, and Cavanagh walking trails.
The neighbourhoods are also designed to take advantage of the natural area. You'll find walkways and trails connecting the different parts of the community to stormwater ponds, parks and the ravine.
