Carter Crest History
Carter Crest is named after Robert I. Carter (1858–1931), a Canadian government agent who served on the council for rural residents, was president of the Conservation Association of Strathcona and was a member of the Masonic Order. He once purchased land in what is now Terwillegar Park and named it Riverside Farm. All residences in the neighbourhood were constructed after 1990. The neighbourhood is bounded on the west and northwest by Terwillegar Drive, northeast and east by Rabbit Hill Road and south by Leger neighbourhood.

Robert Carter Park located in the northeastern part of the neighbourhood features plenty of green space and pathways perfect for walking and biking. Those who enjoy hiking are a few minutes away from the numerous trails in Whitemud Creek Ravine.
