Aldergrove History

Aldergrove was established within the Jasper Place Area Structure Plan during the 70s and 80s. About 55% of the residences were built during the 70s, while a majority of the rest were built during the 80s. 

Single-family homes take up around 57% of the residences, while the remaining is almost evenly split between row houses and apartments.

The community is represented by the Aldergrove community league, established in 1977.

It is thought that the neighbourhood's name is inspired by the local alder tree species.
